1. Art supplies order with a bunch of sketchbooks
2. Actually went outside for a walk
3. Continue to love the family chats we have at dinner.
1) The housecat here is very affectionate. My tummy scratches have her making the most empassioned "air biscuits" with her paws and claws.
2) I got invited to a dinner yesterday. It makes me feel like someone cares
3) I made sure my website shows the RSS fed link prominently in the footer.

The time I get to spend with my mother while she's still able to do things. I know one day I'll look back at this time fondly.
Cherry smoothies: handful frozen cherries, chia and flax seeds, preferred milk, lots
of spinach, yogurt, sweetener, protein powder.
These really great pens I found that write better than any fifty dollar pen I've used. Plus my notebook with 320 pages. I love writing in it.
💪- finished chapter 24 of my story and outlined chapter 25
🤷♀️ - did housework and now my dishes and laundry are clean
🐸 - hung out with my mom for my birthday 🎉
1. Progress is being made with my local murder. I *shall* become crow-friend.
2. It sort of snowed!!!
3. Video games (Story of Seasons and Harvest Moon are carrying me thru life rn)
1. I ate chocolate fruit fondue with my girlfriend for Valentine's day

1. The plan that I will go home from the hospital tomorrow (Sat.)!
2. Much lessened chills and fever
3. Zoom session with my husband in the evening, in which he was holding Donny in his lap so I could see my dog

Friends,
Here on the #Fediverse, now more than ever -- if you're willing and able -- we need you to share the things that lift you up and help you keep going.
If it sparks #joy, please, PLEASE share and continue sharing with the class in the coming weeks and months.
Is it #pretty, but you're lacking #spoons? Be sure to follow @altbot so you can still share it.
If it brings a #smile to your face, consider sharing it no matter how small.
If you chuckle at something in your daily life and tell yourself "oh that's so dumb, I better not post it", that's exactly when you SHOULD post it.
If you think of a #DadJoke that could win awards for being so corny, it is your fiduciary duty as a #Fedizen to attempt to make us all groan at your #silliness.
Some of my most popular toots were my most flippant #shitposts (in contrast to ones I've poured hours into crafting, that get a sympathy fav or two and then vanish into the ether..). It might feel awkward at first, but if you keep #shitposting it's like exercising muscles; it gets easier the more you do it. Consider exercising your big brain muscle and then barf the results here for all the world to see.
I know #hashtags aren't as big here, and a lot of people are against them but I find them invaluable. (I do wish we had a bot that auto-generated a reply to posts with socially/contemporarily relevant hashtags.) Consider adding a contribution to #3GoodThings, or tuck a silly #shitpost in a bottle and toss it into the great and fascinating sea called the Fediverse. You might be surprised who might find it interesting.
We need to flood the zone with #kindness and #happiness because I believe that's how we recharge our emotional reserves.
In doing so, it helps us fortify ourselves against the onslaught of stormy weather that is our real-life world. (Or at least that's how *I* usually do it. [I recommend augmenting with generous doses of cannabis as needed. {consult your doctor first}])
Having said all of this, it's important to remember we must strive to provide #empathy to our fellow passengers. For some of us, this is the closest we can get to #therapy. If people share their struggles and challenges, I implore all of us to remember that #kindness and understanding are radical acts of decency.
Above all, protect yourself by blocking "early and often". You aren't obligated to continue hosting a visitor on your digital "porch". You can simply close the door. You don't even need to have a reason. It's *your* fucking door and there's nothing that says you're required to buy what they're selling -- especially if it feels like negativity. I can tell you with absolute certainty that I've never blocked someone and later thought, "oh gee, I shouldn't have blocked them so fast." It's generally the opposite.
Alright, my friends. Today your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to brainstorm the corniest damned joke you can think of, and post it. Don't mull it over, don't worry about if it makes sense -- post it. Toot it. Bop it. Shake it. Twist it.
Bring forth the moments and shitposts you wish to see in the world, each one a candle that lights our way on this long journey we call life.
1. Massive improvement in my shoulder (attributing it to new pillows and an icing routine).
2. Did 3 paintings today and really enjoyed myself.
3. Literally everything but cooking the chicken is done for tomorrow's dinner. Kiddo will be cooking, so I can have a whole day off and a nice meal.

#Boston #CovidConscious peeps…
I didn't realize we were running out of KN95 ear-loop masks and ordered more later than I should have, and now the store I ordered them from cancelled the order, so we're going to run out before I can get more delivered. Anybody know where in #BostonMA or adjacent communities I can buy them in person?
I need the fold-flat masks with ear loops and a bendable nose-piece, they're the only ones my son can wear.
Thanks!

Three Good Things
This year has been a lot of crap, well, for me at least... I endured the most awful pain I've ever experienced, both physical as emotional... It was horrible and left me scarred. 😔
So now, I'm trying to think of 3 good things to, almost, end this year with.
1. During the worst of times with Arwen, and after her unfortunate death, many of you lovely people here helped me, both financially and emotionally, to deal with her loss (and the costs). For that, I'm immensely grateful.
2. After the most physical painful event, the most emotional painful event followed. I was fortunate that my mum was with me, both during the dislocation, as when things went downhill with Arwen... She stayed with me for several weeks, making sure I wasn't alone, and I got the help I needed after these horrific traumatizing events. For that, I am also immensely grateful.
3. As I'm alone, and chronically ill, I'm not able to do everything I need to do in my little rental home by myself. This year, some friends have come over to help me with several things. And, they promised to help me some more next year, to get things sorted that I can't manage alone. Again, I am super grateful for their help! Without them, I would not have come as far as that I am now... Still loads to do, but less now, thanks to them.
1. I handled a really triggering event in a way that speaks so much to my personal growth and progress.
2. We all did our "Monday reset" chores, so the house is clean and much food is prepped for the week.
3. Painting, so much painting.

2. Got tons of rest, watched a good movie 🛏️
