I'm a PhD candidate in #philosophy at the #UniversityOfHelsinki , focusing on #metaphysics, #ontology, #processphilosophy and philosophy of #biology. I also study #theology , in which I'm most interested in philosophy of religion, #processtheology , the relationship between science and religion, and the role of #religion in matters of conflict and #peace.

I came in #today because it is our group board game lunch. Last month, I brought Take Five (6 Nimmt), which went over very well. But I probably went overboard in the games I brought today, so I should edit them down. Maybe just the new hotness, Flip 7. I also brought Liar's Dice, High Society, and Green Team Wins. We’ll have between eight and 10 people, so we should probably break into two groups. I even brought in the classic Nuclear War, the perfect team-building game. 😸

But better times are ahead for #Today. I am heading over to #PaxEast for my one day of gaming. I did two days in the past, but it was too exhausting, so just one this year. While most of it is focused on video games, I stay on the #boardgames side. I’ll look at the new games being demoed, dream about gaming tables, play some games from the #boardgame library, and look over the used games on sale. Although I have splurged on plenty of games in the past month, I should keep my wallet in my pocket.

Came home from #boardgames to find the freezer isn’t freezing. So my Saturday night turned into a bit of adult entertainment. I will be doing very adult things in the kitchen. Got all my shiny tools out, too.

It’s #boardgames today and we are trying “Monster Horrified”. It’s a cooperative game where you basically all do a #monsterdon film. We select random monsters to fight, random archetype characters, and try to kill the monsters before they kill us or the innocent civilians.

• Mayor

• Courier

We haven’t won or lost yet. I have been particularly inconsequential. Although I did kill Dracula I have mostly been fang fodder.
