Mini review of the escape room game Unlock: Tombstone.

This one was deeply unsatisfying, we think because we played in multiple sessions and it was supposed to have timed stuff in the app which doesn't save state on my phone if you pause it and play the other half on another day. But kiddo and I found a lot of the puzzles confusing even before that. May be racist as well hard to follow for a non-american, we didn't actually get that far before the game told us we were done on our second session. We've enjoyed others in the Unlock series (including the first one in this 3-pack) but this was not a winner. Oh well, at least we got it from the library.

We haven't played them for ages, but today reminded us that they're all good games 🙂

City of Six Moons (minor spoiler) [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

I haven't been this excited to explore board game in quite some time. No spoilers but there's not really any rules and you get to just kind of figure it out and make it up and it's a puzzle and board game. 🤓

The board itself is a mix of alien symbols of various shapes and designs as well as blue tokens and blue and red figure pieces and a stack of alien cards.

A highly cropped and partial A NOTE ON THE PRODUCTION

As much as possible, I tried to present as it was presented to me, and as it has been played for thousands of years. I have not provided any interpretation of the rules, or rebalanced any of the cards, even in cases where I think the design might be improved - for example, I'm still not sure why the rival civilizations track token accumulation separately. When I asked about this, they seemed quite upset. So I left it alone.
