I just read a National Trust instagram post in which they’d asked people to comment about their cats but replace the word ‘cat’ with ‘colleague’.
All very amusing but ‘My colleague got startled by his own fart and fell from the sofa’ had me chortle out loud in the osteopath’s waiting room.

A ginger tabby cat is perched on the almost top shelf of an old scratched up but nice looking Lundia bookshelf. His pretty green eyes gleam in soft Spring sunlight and his whiskers are so long and so delicate, fanning out from his handsome little kitty face. He's close to but not quite same colour as the wooden shelves, a sort of aged to red birch or pine. There are many black freckles on his pink nose, and he looks bright and attentive. Some measurements scrawled on the middle pillar of the shelf to estimate the heights of things in real space tells us he's 180cm off the floor.
Why bother with a cat bed when you can just use... another cat?

Toot triste.
Depuis 2019, date où j'ai acheté mon terrain, pour faire construire et emménager en mai 2020, une chatte libre sauvage et qui ne s'est jamais socialisée, vivait sous ma maison, qui est sur pilotis.
Elle avait ses cabanes, son foin pour se prélasser au soleil, et de bonnes gamelles plusieurs fois par jour. Elle avait été stérilisée en 2020, et traumatisé e par le trappage et l'opération, quand je l'avais relâchée, elle avait disparue.
......mais était revenue au bout de 2 mois.
Ce matin, elle était introuvable. J'ai fait plusieurs fois le tour du terrain, pas là.
Vers 14h, de la terrasse, j'entends un faible miaulement. C'était elle, couchée sans bouger sur le bord d'une des restanques.
Je descends lui apporter une gamelle. Elle ne bouge pas et miaule de douleur.
Comme elle est impossible à toucher, je me demande comment je vais la mettre dans la cage de transport.
Je vais néanmoins la chercher et y mets une de ses couvertures. Elle y rentre tout de suite, et me laisse fermer la porte sans rien dire. Direction le véto à 15 km. Elle ne proteste pas dans la voiture.
Là bas, après 45 minutes d'examens, anesthésie, prise de sang et radios, le verdict tombe: insuffisance rénale avancée et irréversible, sauf si 48h de perfusion tous les 2 mois.
De plus, ses dents sont toutes pourries et elle devait avoir très mal, me dit le véto.
Je l'ai laissée à la clinique pour perfusion anti douleur cette nuit, et elle sera euthanasie demain matin à 9.30.
Je serai avec elle bien sûr, ensuite incinération et je récupérerai ses cendres.
